The Next Generation of Postgres High Availability

Postgres high availability has been a topic of contention for many years. This presentation will discuss the existing high availability models for Postgres, and consider the advantages and current limitations of each.

We will also discuss the latest changes in related technologies like Kubernetes, HA proxy, Postgres-BDR and others, and demonstrate how they can close the gap on some of the known limitations of Postgres high availability.
